Clannad - "Dúlaman"

For me world and folk music have just that little bit extra when they are reaching hands out to the world while rooted in their own land. What I mean is that folk can do so much more than just representing a local tradition or culture for the sake of it. It can use these traditional aspects to produce a transcending universal sound. Clannad did just this with Dúlaman. They cannot deny they are Celtic, but they really needn't to as their musical identity goes way beyond fiddle and harp, whispering winter night lullabies right at your ear.
